Stepping into 2026: The Year of Intelligence

As we step into 2026, it feels like the right moment to pause, not to slow down, but to take stock.

SPG Intelligence has grown, evolved, and sharpened its focus over the past year. But more than anything, it has been shaped by the people building it, challenging it, and quietly making it better every day.

This is not a launch post.
It is not a victory lap.
It is a snapshot of where we are and where we are heading, together.

The Way We Work Is the Product

If you spend any time around SPG Intelligence, one thing becomes obvious quickly. We care deeply about how things get done.

Good technology matters.
Clear architecture matters.
But so does trust, pace, and honesty.

We work best when we are close to the problem, close to the people living with it, and unafraid to say, this can be simpler, let us make it reliable.

That mindset has shaped the work we have delivered and the way we have chosen to grow.

A Clearer Shape: Evolve and Scale

As we move into 2026, one of the most important changes is how clearly we define our work.

Over time, two distinct needs kept showing up in our conversations with customers. Rather than stretching one message to fit both, we leaned into that reality.

Evolve is for organisations that know their operations should be smoother than they are today. Manual processes, disconnected systems, and hard to trust data slow teams down. Evolve focuses on introducing structure, automation, and intelligence into everyday operations, carefully, pragmatically, and with minimal disruption.

Scale is designed for enterprise organisations already operating at significant size and complexity. Large platforms, cloud estates, data landscapes, and long running programmes need stability as much as innovation. Scale is about modernising safely, improving reliability, and ensuring that complex environments continue to support growth rather than hold it back.

The Intelligences Behind the Work

We talk about intelligence because that is what organisations are really asking for, clarity, confidence, and better decision making.

Each intelligence exists because complex operations do not need more noise. They need things to run simply and reliably.

Reintroducing the Drivers

SPG Intelligence is led by people who are closely involved in shaping both the direction of the business and the way work is delivered.

  • Gareth Humphreys leads SPG Intelligence with a clear long term vision. He is still building the company he first sketched out years ago (2019) on a whiteboard, a business focused on helping organisations make sense of complexity through practical, well engineered solutions.

  • Carolyn McTaggart is responsible for ops, shaping how SPG Intelligence engages with customers. She works closely with teams and clients to ensure our offers are clear, relevant, and genuinely useful. Her focus is on alignment, making sure the problems we solve, the way we solve them, and the outcomes we deliver all make sense.

  • Sam Hameed oversees delivery and technical direction across SPG Intelligence and our sister company SPG Resourcing. His role is centred on quality, reliability, and real world execution.

Together, they provide direction and consistency, while leaving room for teams to do their best work.

A Growing Team One Shared Goal

Alongside the leadership team is an ever growing group of professionals spread across the UK.

Engineers, architects, analysts, delivery leads, and specialists, all bringing deep experience, strong opinions, and a shared mindset.

Despite working across different locations and disciplines, the goal is the same.
To make complex operations run simply and reliably.

That shared purpose shapes how we collaborate, how we make decisions, and how we support the organisations we work with. It is what allows SPG Intelligence to grow without losing the care and attention that clients rely on.

What We Are Carrying Into 2026

  • We are carrying clarity about who we help best.

  • We are carrying confidence in how we deliver.

  • And we are carrying a strong sense of responsibility to our clients, our partners, and each other.

If you are already working with us, you are part of this journey.
If you are considering it, this is the SPG Intelligence you will meet.

2026 is not about changing who we are.
It is about continuing to build it properly.
